Fujitsu Laptops: Never Heard Of Them – Are They Any Good?
There are a lot of makes and models on the market when you’re looking at a new laptop. Fujitsu is not one of the top brands that many people think of, though they have a Life Book on the market that are competitive with the other brands. The Fujitsu laptops have pros and cons – and it’s important to familiarize yourself with them to determine if one is right for you.
Pros of a Fujitsu Laptop
There are a lot of reviews on the Fujitsu laptop and everyone is pleased with the highly configurable features. There’s also a rotating screen that can rotate in both directions and there’s a coated screen that makes it possible to use the laptop outdoors. The resolution on the screen is premium regardless of whether you are indoors or outdoors, making it possible to get work done regardless of where you go.
In terms of power, it processes data fast. It’s faster than the average Lenovo, but a little slower than a Gateway – all three have the same processor inside of them. Additional processors and RAM can be added to the standard layout for an added cost, giving you the kind of power you need based upon what you will be using the computer for.
The laptop itself is just under 5 pounds and it is a good size to be able to place in a computer bag and take wherever you go. It can sit on a lap comfortably and be moved around without making a chore of taking it with you.
Cons of a Fujitsu Laptop
One of the biggest cons with the Fujitsu is the price tag. The average laptop by this manufacturer is going to be around $2,000 – and this can be almost double what some of the other computers are in this category. While there are a few different models with different price tags, the company is on the higher end of the spectrum.
Another con is the warranty. Fujitsu provides a one-year warranty. They have support in the form of 24/7 phone assistance and technicians will connect to the laptop over an Internet connection to diagnose problems. Adding another year of service comes at a cost, which means if there are any problems after having the computer for a year, it’s likely going to be expensive.
The computer also comes with a 6-cell battery. During testing, it only lasted a little under four hours. There are other computers on the market that have been able to go five and six hours on the same battery. If you want the battery to last longer, you have to spend the money and upgrade the battery that pops into the back.
In the end, you have to look at the Fujitsu laptops for yourself. They aren’t as elegant as some of the other convertible tablets on the market, but they do boast a lot of features. The price isn’t the easiest on the wallet, but if you can afford it, the features make up for the cost. Take the time to read some of the reviews on the model you’re considering and make your own decision.
