Outlook RTLater this year, Microsoft will release a free update for Windows 8.1. As it became known today, the update will be available for users of tablets based on the OS Windows RT.

Recall that initially the operating system comes with a set of packages with included Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, but with access to update this OS will also get software and Outlook for e-mail.

Earlier, analysts actively criticized Microsoft for the lack of Outlook for Windows RT, calling it one of the most serious problems in the RT-ecosystem. Although Windows RT and comes with built-in email client Mail, its capabilities were comparable with Outlook. And now the company, apparently, has heard the criticism and plans to provide users with tablets Outlook.

At the same time, in Windows RT will continue to exist and Mail, the latter also expect some improvements, in particular background downloading emails and more quality support of VPN-connections.

Also, Microsoft reported that its tablets Surface and Surface Pro next week, too, receive updates. It is expected to fix a number of bugs in operating the keyboard, the ability to control backlight, as well as some other features.
