Debian WheezyThe developers of the operating system Debian Linux yesterday announced the release of the seventh stable release Debian Wheezy 7.0, where has been improved support for multi-arch and new tools for the deployment of private cloud computing.

In addition, in the new product has been redesigned installer operating system and added new multimedia codecs in the main repository, which eliminates the need for users to work with repositories of third suppliers.

One of the main novelties of Debian 7.0 was multi-arch, through which users can install packages for different processor architectures on the same machine. That is now possible in a single operating system installed both 32 – and 64-bit software packages and all related file dependencies are resolved automatically. Also new is support for voice OS installer, designed for people with disabilities. The usual installer also now supports 73 languages.

Also new is support for OS boot UEFI secure technology for the new 64-bit computers.

Traditionally, Debian has a wide range of supported software, so the new version of the operating system is present in nearly 36,000 software packages, including Apache 2.2.22, LibreOffice 4.7.2, MySQL 5.5.30, PHP 5.4.4, Perl 5.14.2, PostgreSQL 9.1 and others.

On top of this, the operating system can now work with an even greater number of processor architectures:

– 32-bit PC / Intel IA-32 (i386);
– 64-bit PC / Intel EM64T / x86-64 (amd64);
– Motorola / IBM PowerPC (powerpc );
– Sun / Oracle SPARC (sparc);
– MIPS (mips (big-endian) and mipsel (little-endian));
– Intel Itanium (ia64);
– IBM S/390 (31-bit s390 and 64-bit s390x) and ARM EABI.
