Open SourceThe company Leap Motion has released an update SDK 0.7.6, remarkable emergence of means for use in Linux of Leap Motion controlers.

Leap Motion Controller is a small device to be placed next to the monitor and recognize hand movements in three-dimensional region of width and height of about 1 meter. Based on the recognized movements formed teams to manipulate interface elements.

The device is equipped with two cameras and three infrared LED connected to the computer, via USB. Leap Motion is highly accurate motion recognition, allowing you to track movement of only 0.01 mm. Beta version of the SDK for Linux is available as a deb-package for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and 12.10.
